One of the finest Austro Hungarian necklaces to hit the shop to date.
The silver gilt collar necklace features enamelled floral panels studded with the most vibrant turquoise stones.
Each panel is connected by two silver swag chains with little enamel drops hanging from each top chain. The necklace features a concealed push clasp and sits beautifully on the neck.
The necklace is not hallmarked but it is Austro-Hungarian in origin and dates to the late 19th Century.
The enamel of each panel has worn away in places over time however this is hard to notice due to the busy design of the necklace.
The central panel has also had its top chain attached to its sides rather than underneath the panels (picture 7). This is most likely to improve how the chains sits on the neck.
The necklace is in good antique condition overall.
